Undertale SOUL Quiz

You are walking into the Roaring Knight fight. Which SOUL are you bringing?

Six names show up together if you sink the Snowdin ball within six seconds: Bravery, Justice, Integrity, Kindness, Perseverance, and Patience. You already carry red. Players call it Determination. The line under your result is a fan take on how you would play the Knight.

Question 1 of 12

Question

The SOUL you bring

Determination

Red

The person who lost the last turn is the one who walks back in. A loss does not swap you for a different player. You go back in as the person who started.

Recommended fight: Roaring Knight fight. The Chapter 3 secret boss. A fan suggestion, not a change to the fight.

The SOUL you bring

Patience

Cyan

You let the Knight's attack show its shape before you spend your movement. The first gap is not automatically yours.

Recommended fight: Jevil fight. The Chapter 1 secret boss, a pattern you can fight or tire out. A fan suggestion, not a change to the fight.

The SOUL you bring

Bravery

Orange

You take the opening while it exists, even when the box already looks worse than you wanted.

Recommended fight: Roaring Knight fight. The Chapter 3 secret boss. A fan suggestion, not a change to the fight.

The SOUL you bring

Integrity

Blue

You dodge and fight in a style that is yours. The Knight does not get to hand you one pattern and call it the only way through the box.

The SOUL you bring

Perseverance

Purple

You study the Knight. A failed turn becomes notes: where the sword entered, where the box clipped you, and what to watch next time.

Recommended fight: Roaring Knight fight. The Chapter 3 secret boss. A fan suggestion, not a change to the fight.

The SOUL you bring

Kindness

Green

You spend the turn on the people in the box with you. The Knight can wait one action if someone beside you cannot.

Recommended fight: Omega Flowey fight. The Undertale fight where the human SOULs turn on Flowey. A fan suggestion, not a change to the fight.

The SOUL you bring

Justice

Fan take: the description and the fight it suggests. Determination, the name for red, is a fan name too. None of this changes how a simulator plays.

Write a Knight line for your SOUL in the text box.

The seven SOULs

Six colors have names from the Snowdin ball. Undertale fans settled on Determination for red years before this fight. Under each color is how that SOUL would play the Knight. Fight advice under a result is a fan take.

  • Red · Determination

Red goes back in as the same fighter who sat down. A loss does not hand the Knight a different player.

  • Cyan · Patience

Cyan holds until the slash commits, then steps.

  • Orange · Bravery

Orange meets the Knight by spending the opening that is already closing.

  • Blue · Integrity

Blue crosses the box on footwork the pattern did not draw.

  • Purple · Perseverance

Purple writes the swing down and expects to see it again.

  • Green · Kindness

Green spends the action on the people sharing the box.

  • Yellow · Justice

Yellow answers the Knight because the blow should be met.

What the flags print

These are the lines that come up with the ball. The six names are a different flag.

  • Red, on a later clear

“Try as you might, you continue to be yourself.”

  • Cyan

“"Ball" is "Small." You waited, still, for this opportunity... then dethroned "Ball" with a sharp attack.”

  • Orange

“You are the kind of person who rushes fists-first through all obstacles.”

  • Blue

“Hopping and twirling, your original style pulled you through.”

  • Purple

“Even when you felt trapped, you took notes and achieved the end of "Ball."”

  • Green

“Your concern and care for "Ball" led you to a delicious victory.”

  • Yellow

“Your sure-fire accuracy put an end to the mayhem of "Ball."”

How the result is chosen

Each answer adds one point to a trait. Your result is the highest score. If two traits tie, the one you chose later wins. The same answers always give the same SOUL. A link with ?soul= opens that result directly. The downloaded card is a 1200×630 picture. After the result, Copy result writes a line you can paste, Share to X opens a post, and Copy for Discord writes the same line with the address on its own row. On a phone, Share uses the device share sheet when the browser has one.

FAQ

Which Undertale soul are you?

You answer 12 situations about the SOUL you would bring into the Roaring Knight fight. The trait you choose most is yours. If two traits tie, the one you picked later wins. The games do not rank these traits.

Is this an official Undertale soul test?

No. Undertale and Deltarune do not ask this. You will know the six names from the Snowdin ball. Undertale fans settled on Determination for red years before this fight. Advice about the Roaring Knight, Jevil, or Omega Flowey is a fan take.

What does this soul color test use?

Bring red into the Knight's box, and know the other hearts by sight: cyan, then orange, blue, purple, green, and yellow. Players call red Determination. The named traits are Patience, Bravery, Integrity, Perseverance, Kindness, and Justice. Cyan is also called aqua or light blue. It is not the blue of Integrity.

Does my SOUL make the Knight easier?

No. The Roaring Knight, Jevil, and Omega Flowey simulators play the same way whatever you get. The recommended fight is only where to go next. Your result doesn't change the SOUL you control in any of these simulators.

Where do the seven traits come from?

Sink the Snowdin ball within six seconds and one red flag prints six names together: Bravery, Justice, Integrity, Kindness, Perseverance, Patience. The other flags hand you a short verdict on the ball run. They do not print those names. Undertale leaves red's trait blank. Players call it Determination. A result's longer line is a fan take on the Knight fight.
