Roaring Knight Fight
Jevil Fight Simulator
Keyboard needed. This will not run on a phone. Press Play, then click the game. Arrows move, Z confirms, and X cancels.
taiseitaisei's English Jevil simulator, with Kris, Susie, and Ralsei.
Quick start
This Jevil simulator needs a keyboard. It will not play on a phone. Press Play, then click the game so the keys reach it.
Arrow keys move. Z confirms. X cancels. Kris, Susie, and Ralsei are all in the party, and you can use their ACT commands.
- Kris: Spin, 20% TP. The result is random. It can heal the party, fire a Rude Buster, or heal Jevil.
- Susie: Rude Buster, 50% TP.
- Ralsei: Heal Prayer, 32% TP, and it heals the whole party.
Carousel and the card bombs in this project are by TheConstructer. If a line sounds off, or you hit a bug, taiseitaisei asks players to say so on the Scratch project.
Who Jevil is
Jevil is the Chapter 1 secret boss, the old court jester of Card Kingdom. He is locked on a hidden floor of Card Castle. You collect Broken Keys A, B, and C, Malius forges them into the Door Key, and that key opens the cell. He treats the meeting as a game you lose when your HP hits 0.
Spoilers
The two endings
Fighting through to the end gives the Devilsknife. Tiring him out and using Pacify gives the Jevilstail. The closing lines differ, and some of them mention the Knight.
How the attacks come
The Deltarune fight moves through five phases as his HP drops or as Tiredness rises. Phase 2 is around 80% HP or Tiredness 2, phase 3 around 60% or Tiredness 4, phase 4 around 40% or Tiredness 6, then Final Chaos, then a last mix of earlier attacks. The first pass through a phase has a set order and a spoken line. After that, attacks from the phase can repeat at random.
Early patterns are a five-spade volley, spade spirals, heart bombs, and spinning scythes, then a carousel, club bombs, rising diamonds, and a second scythe pattern with a larger red scythe. Later comes Chaos Bomb, then Final Chaos, where the board grows and giant scythes fall, leaving pillars of light.
- Pacify route: raise Tiredness to 9, then use Ralsei's Pacify. Hypnosis costs 50% TP.
- In Deltarune, Pirouette costs 20% TP and follows a 9-turn cycle. The turn-2 effect lowers defense, so a damage route uses it on turns 2, 11, 20, and so on.
- In this simulator the move is called Spin. It still costs 20% TP, and the result is random instead of that cycle.
Practical tips
One player guide for the original fight says to sit in the gap between the spinning scythes, along the edge of the board, and to play Final Chaos from the bottom of the screen.
For this project, read Spin as a gamble: it can save the party or waste the turn. Susie's Rude Buster is the expensive hit. Ralsei's Heal Prayer tops up everyone, which is why keeping him up matters. Spin costs 20% TP and its result is random. Deltarune's Pirouette follows a 9-turn cycle.
