Fight guide
Which hosted build is this?
This is Bad_Time_Trio1's build, not Gangstermango's homepage remake. On 22 October 2026 we selected all seven opening options and entered their battle screens in Chromium, then practiced the opening with the first three Mantle choices. We did not complete seven challenge runs. The menu separates a recipient choice from the additional 1.5X Damage, No Heal and No Hit restrictions.
Compare the opening choices in the Black Knife difficulty guide . Keep the selected mode stable while learning an attack; changing both protection and movement makes retries harder to compare.
Quick start
Click the frame before any key counts. The first screen asks who wears the Shadow Mantle. 1 is Kris, 2 is Susie, 3 is Ralsei, and 4 is nobody. 5 is nobody with extra damage, 6 is nobody and no healing, and 7 is a no-hit rule. Z continues after that choice.
From there the party shares one heart. Arrows or WASD move it and walk the menus. Z or Enter confirms. X cancels, skips typing, and slows the soul while a pattern is on screen. C hurries a line of dialogue. The file is large, so wait until the mantle question is up before you start pressing numbers.
The sword
The Black Knife is the sword the Roaring Knight carries in the Chapter 3 battle, in the Cold Place after Tenna. The swings, the rings of blades, and the beams all come off that weapon. This simulator is that encounter, with Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on the left and the Knight drawn in white on the right.
A chip knocked off the sword is the BlackShard. In a normal file Kris is the one who can hold it. It stays a sword in the Light World too, which is unusual, and it hits dark-element enemies harder than the other blades. The helmet stays on. Nothing in the battle names the person inside.
How the swings come
The box in this build is green. Early patterns throw diamond stars in from the edges and lay a beam straight across the board from the knife. Later the same space fills with a burst of white shards. Sit in the gap the diamonds leave, and do not chase the beam: it crosses the whole box, so the safe spot is off that line.
Hold X when a ring gets tight. That is the slow key in this project. The number you pressed at the start is the whole setup: the mantle sits on Kris, Susie, or Ralsei, or you walk in without it and take one of the extra rules. In Chapter 3 that armor is what softens the Knight's dark and star hits, so the choice is the build you are practicing. Susie's act list includes Rude Buster.
Another fan built a harder version of this same sword fight. Roaring Knight fight simulator adds unused attacks and plays meaner. Practice the beams here, then try that one.

What a clear leaves behind
Losing the Chapter 3 battle does not dump you on a game over. The chapter keeps going. Bringing the Knight down far enough is still not a normal win: the Knight stands back up, Susie and Ralsei are swooned, and the scene continues. The chip from the sword is the BlackShard, and it comes with the rest of that scene.
Want another fan's build of the same sword? Deltarune Fight keeps a separate Black Knife simulator.
How to dodge
The Black Knife is the Knight's single-edged sword, close to a katana. In the real battle it swings for the box splitter and the rotating slash, and the bullets in the sword tunnel are that same blade. The battle track is called Black Knife. If you win, Susie knocks a black shard off it.
The real fight still walks a fixed list. Stars, tracking swords, a cut across the board, the tunnel, then a rotating slash, and then harder versions. The tunnel is the one that ends runs: very few invincibility frames, so you follow the gap with short moves and stay on the right. A cleave across the board hurts, but it leaves you at 1 HP instead of finishing you. Diamonds spray off that cut. Near the end of a rotating slash, stop making big swerves.
In the original battle, when the Knight's HP is under 80%, the board eventually fills the screen. Stars spiral, come back, and burst. A slash down the middle closes it, and defense does not help. One hit after the Knight drops its guard ends the fight. You cannot win that battle by talking. This is original-game context, not a completed run of the hosted remake.
In this build, X is the slow key. Arrows or WASD move, Z or Enter confirms, and C hurries a line. Opening numbers 1-3 choose a Shadow Mantle recipient; 4 chooses Nobody, while 5-7 add damage, no-heal or no-hit challenge rules. They do not all merely choose a recipient.
FAQ
Is this Black Knife simulator free?
Yes. It's free to play in your browser. Bad_Time_Trio1 shared the Scratch project for free. Press Play to start. There is no installer.
What do the number keys do in this Black Knife simulator?
They only matter on the opening question. 1 gives the Shadow Mantle to Kris, 2 to Susie, 3 to Ralsei, and 4 to nobody. 5 is nobody plus extra damage, 6 is nobody and no healing, and 7 is a no-hit rule. Press Z after the choice. Later, arrows or WASD move, Z or Enter confirms, X slows the soul, and C hurries lines.
Is this the same fight as the Roaring Knight simulator?
Same boss, different project. The Roaring Knight simulator plays Gangstermango's remake. The Black Knife simulator plays Bad_Time_Trio1's fight, which opens by asking who wears the Shadow Mantle and then runs the sword patterns in a green box.
Does a phone have enough buttons, or do I need a keyboard?
Bring a keyboard. The mantle question uses 1 through 7, and the battle uses arrows or WASD, Z, X, and C. A touch screen does not cover that. A Chromebook with a keyboard can play.
Is it unblocked?
This is a normal website. A school or office filter can still block roaringknightfight.com, or cdn.roaringknightfight.com, which is where the fight loads after you press Play.
Who made the fight?
Bad_Time_Trio1 made this Roaring Knight fight. Toby Fox made Deltarune. Roaring Knight Fight is a fan site and is not affiliated with either of them.
What should you watch during the Black Knife tunnel?
Watch the gap rather than following individual swords. Hold X in this simulator for finer movement. The original game's low-invincibility warning is context, not a measured value for this package; our current Black Knife play notes cover the opening, not a verified tunnel clear.
